This event will provide a sensitive but unclassified briefing and is open to U.S. citizens only. IMPORTANT: You must register in advance for this event and no walk-in's will be allowed. We will discuss the modern challenges to Critical Infrastructure Protection with a focus on Information Security. This presentation will revolve around the aggregation of open source information available in today's connected world to expose supply chain and critical infrastructure vulnerabilities. We will look not only at the extreme ease by which a would-be attacker can identify and target critical nodes within the electronic supply chain, but how that attacker can use a simple internet search engine to aggregate information about the source, path and destination of almost any product or component. Even if you are not an “IT” type of person, this presentation will allow you understand the fundamental challenges to protecting data, whether it is for your employer or your family’s personal information.
